Sherman Hospital has always made it a priority to protect the privacy of the patients we serve. Everyone associated with the organization — doctors, nurses, business and support staff — are committed to maintaining patient privacy.

Government regulations containing the requirements for maintaining patient privacy are outlined in the Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). These regulations provide Sherman with guidance to help ensure patient privacy.

As an organization dedicated to safeguarding patients' protected health information (PHI), Sherman Hospital has developed a Privacy Notice based upon the government regulations.
